The Parent Who Sees the Snake

Why God's Sharpest No Is Actually His Fiercest Love in Disguise
A child reaches for a coiled snake thinking it's a pretty garden hose. The parent doesn't explain reptile taxonomy. They yank the child back hard.
You interpret the yank as harsh. God sees it as rescue.
If God really loved me, He'd let me have what I want.
God loves you too much to let you grab what will kill you.
All the things God tells us not to do aren't because He's a buzzkill. He cares deeply and doesn't want us battling repercussions of willful sin. You see restriction. He sees venom you're about to grab. Jesus Christ yanks hard sometimes. Not because He's cruel. Because the snake is coiled and you think it's beautiful. Walk circumspectly. He sees what you don't.
What are you reaching for that looks beautiful but God sees the fangs?
